Need help getting rid of a undetectable virus/infection

Hi Im new here and im pc literate but when it comes to viruses i know nothing so pls explain in the lamen and easy steps if you have a solution.

 

I have the most up to date Norton 360 v6 on a Windows 7 64-bit pc.

 

The problem im having is a number of things firstly ChatZum, for some reason it downloaded and installed without my knowledge then https://searchsafer.com/ keeps appearing when i open a tab in firefox browser.

 

I've done a computer full system scan, used gooredfix, malwarebytes, defragged my registry, cleaned all my files/disks, used norton utilities 15, deleted all cookies/temp files in all browsers and guess what.. The **bleep** thing is still on my pc. I've done everything i can think of short of recovering my pc from the moment i first turned it on a year ago.

 

Too add insult to injury ive also got .doubleclick.net swimming around inside my pc and wanna get rid of all.

 

Please help.

You have used somewhat an advanced program, so I won't be going indepth into your syste.

 

But Try System Restore back to pre browser hijacker time.

the earliest restore i had is 3 days before this post. its been on my pc long before that. is there a way to return my pc to day 1 turn on status without a restore point?

So others who correctly leave me to the malware removal threads, know I am not doing this thread, so they can try.

 

Or you can wipe with DoD your Hard Drive of course.

Try to boot into your computer in Safe Mode and run a scan with Norton Power Eraser:

You may also check for unknown programs/toolbars in Add/Remove Programs(Control Panel) and uninstall it. You can also try clearing the prefetch.
