Need help - Not able to verify site ownership

My website is hosted by Weebly site builder. I put the authentification code in the header code but keep getting a failed response when I try to verify the site. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? My site is: lifemagnets.org

Thanks.

Hi Judge,

Welcome to the forum. For better visibility this should be posted to the NIS/AV forum here. I will ask the forum moderator to move this.

Hi lifemagnets,

I will notify Phil_D of your issue - Phil is our website verification wiz ;-)

Hello Judge,

I can see your meta tag in the head element.

I shall notify the Safe Web team who will manually verify site ownership. Allow them a day or two to respond back to you in this thread.

Once ownership has been verified, your site will be queued for the rating evaluation.

Be sure the code remains in place until ownership is verified. Leaving the code in the meta tag will not affect your site or the visitor's experience.

Best wishes for your website!

If you would like to be notified by email when a reply is posted, go to My Profile > Preferences and check the box for: "Automatically Subscribe Me to Threads I Participate In".

Thanks!

No response yet from the Safe Web team. Do you think they will eventually reply back?

Hi lifemagnets,

I have just asked a moderator to notify someone from the Safe Web Team who can verify your website manually :-)

Hello Judge,

While awaiting help from the Safe Web team you could try this:

Norton Safe Web has now added more functionality, allowing meta tags to be used with the automated verification process.

Please change the name of your current meta tag from nortonsw to exactly this:  norton-safeweb-site-verification   and allow the content to remain as is, which includes your full 128 character code.

Once that is complete, Save / Publish your home page.

Now, log back into Norton Safe Web > My Profile > Site Dispute and you should see the name of your website and three options listed under Action.

Click on "verify site ownership”.

A reminder message may pop up asking you to confirm that you have placed the authentication file in your Root Folder or placed the meta tag.  Click OK.

You should then see "ownership verified" under "Status"

Let us know how you do with this.

Hi Judge,

Thanks for adding the auth code in a meta tag on your site.

We have verified owership of your site 'lifemagnets.org' based on the meta tag.

We have also queued this site for analysis.

It should get rated shortly on 'safeweb.norton.com'.
