I have two PCs connected with a crossover cable and both computers show up under COMPUTER -- NETWORK as PC1 (I set the IVP4 with a fixed ip address of 192.168.0.1) and PC2 (set ip address of 192.168.0.2) and both are on the same workgroup. At first I could not connect to either so on PC2 I went into SETTINGS -- NETWORK -- TRUSTED FIREWALL -- GENERAL and set a new general two way access with an ip address for PC1. I did the same on PC1 setting a general two way access with the ip address for PC2.
On machine PC2 I can double click on PC1 and I can access all of the files etc. However on PC1 I get an error message to the effect I don't have permissions etc., etc. I did reboot PC2 but not PC1. Do the Norton settings only take effect after a reboot or is there something else I need to change?
