I'm trying to remove NAV Mac 11, and I need to run the utility that Symantec employees have recommended on this board. Unfortunately, the address they've given, and the one that's listed in https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080427024142EN_EndUserProfile_en_us;jsessionid=51B20B1F83FCAFD89291EF4E346D6A83.4?entsrc=redirect_pubweb&product=home&pvid=f-home&version=1 , no longer works. What is the new location of that file?
It seems to work for me.
Hi, welcome to the Board,
that Link is correct, i load it also from this Site.
greets
Are you just going to the support article or are you clicking on the link for that utility? Because I've tried the link to the utility from that support article, which is
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/tools/mactools/RemoveSymantecMacFiles.zip
in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, and all of them say they can't find ftp.symantec.com.
It does go to ftp.symantec.com and downloads the zip, for me. Could some network setting (firewall etc.) be interfering?
Something's clearly interfering, but I was just able to get it by using an FTP program, logging in anonymously to the server, and grabbing it that way. The right tool for the right job, I guess (and a browser really isn't the best tool for FTP, is it?).
Go to www.norton.com/rmac
Double click on the file in your downloads folder

You don't read very well, do you?
The question's been answered, and I've (thankfully) gotten the software off my machine.
