Need some suggestions

First of all, I don't know if this is the right place for this question.

A. The Question is not about Norton but could be about a possible security issue.

I have received a notice that I need to download drivers for an unknown Hardware device, Which I am now calling the Phantom Hardware.

If this was the Mouse, Keyboard etc, This could be solved via search on Google etc however,

I have NOT installed any new Hardware to my computer.  I did a search of the Hardware profile and all it says is Unknown Hardware. It gave a code ACPI\PNP0C)f\1. A search for THIS code turns up something about power management. But I have not changed the settings there either.

For now, I have told the computer to not inform me that this phantom hardware needs to have its drivers installed. ( Norton also picks up this Phantom Hardware and gives me the option to find the drivers, for it)

Things seem fine for the Computer and if something does happen I can always use Norton restore and go back before 17 January 2013 (This is the first day this happened as well as first time) and restore the computer.

Any clues to why my Computer thinks it has a Phantom Hardware installed?

Thanks
