Hi: I have a 72 GB backup file on a drive that I want to delete. Using the N360 "Delete Backup Set and Files" command is going to take the rest of the year judging by the one file per 2 seconds delete rate. I can't delete it in Windows Explorer in Admin mode, or using WinDirStat in Admin or Safe Boot mode, or a command line prompt like rd or del or erase in Admin or Safe mode. I've spent long enough on this now that my next step is to take all the other stuff off the drive and then hit it with a hammer, send the pieces to Symantec with a note and then go buy a new one. Anyone got any bright ideas. Thanks in advance.

Turn off the 360 backup feature so the folder will not be in use.
Reboot system and then delete the folder.

Hi All: Thanks for the replies. Nothing worked, so I moved all the other files off the drive and reformatted it. Took all day. Don't know why a company would sell something like that - even Windows lets you delete backup sets to recover space.
