Need to recover hard drive

It depends on what happened to the drive. You may be able to use the Symantec Recovery Disk to access the information on the disk, but ideally you would have created an image of the drive, so you could just restore the image and everything would be back to a clean state. Or you could create incremental images to restore to a point in time when the system was in a known clean state.

I had a hard drive fail last week and after  downloading some free to try recovery software it looks like all of my data is still there on the hard drive but windows will not access it. The recovery software will do it if I buy it but the price is about the same as  norton save and restore. I do not have ghost or save and restore but I like the reliability of nortons internet security.  Will nortons save and restore be able to get into and rip my info off the bad hard drive to a new HD? Or am I not understanding the product right? backing the data up after would be good too, thats why I’m asking about save and restore. any symantec help would be great

after looking through the site I found the trail software of save and restore and am going to try it. Still, any symantec feedback would be great
