need to transfer WiFi Privacy account from old phone to new phone

I chatted with a Norton support rep and was told that if you need to get a new phone within the year of your subscription, you lose the $29.99 you paid and you have to pay another $29.99 to use Norton WIFI Privacy on your new phone (and if that new phone breaks, it's another $29.99, and so on...). It is not transferable to any new phone. This, to me, is a disgrace.

I understand the one-subscription-per-device policy, but you SHOULD be able to deactivate the subscription from one device and continue it on another!!! I've been a very loyal Norton customer for many years, and I've given them a LOT of money already. This is very shady and unless they change this policy, I want to quit all my Norton subscriptions when they expire.
