I have read the many messages concerning the abandoned Winfax software. I had version 10.0. It looks like LiveUpdate must have made the change for me from 10.0 to 10.0.3. The machine has run many years without issue. Now the modem has failed. At first it was not apparent that it was a modem problem. Winfax complained of No Dialtone, yet I could plug a phone into the modem and dial. Sending init strings to the modem got the requisite OK response. But indeed, no dial tone. Unfortunately, as part of the troubleshooting, I re-installed the software from my version 10 cd.
Now I need 10.0.3 and it seems that LiveUpdate has also been abandoned. Is there anyway to get a copy of 10.0.3 from a Symantec FTP server? I see the link for 10.0.4, but it is emphatic that it is only to be used on top of 10.0.2 and seems to only deal with Fax Sharing. Thanks for any help on this issue.
