Netbook Corrupted -- How to install Norton Netbook Version?

My XP-based HP Netbook was attacked while on the internet and I can no longer log onto the internet.

Upon booting the Netbook, the OS is  immediately flooded with solicitations for other antivirus programs and false alerts and other malware that run in loops. Therefore, I assume I need to clear out these virus before I can install a new Netbook version of Norton.

If I order the Netbook version of Norton 2010 online, can I install with the following procedure?

1.  Download the Netbook version on line to my desktop, saving to a separate folder as a dowload file --  without installing om ,u desktop. I already have Norton 2010 installed on my desktop.

2. Can I the transfer the Netbook version to an SD card, take that SD card and plug it into my HP Netbook, and install the new Netbook version from the SD card?

In prior versions of Norton, if one knew a computer was already corrupted and had trouble just booting, one could download a special file that would initially sweep the computer... like a bootable version of Norton.

3.  Is this bootable version of Norton 2010 possible with the online purchase of the Netbook version?

4.  I can still boot the Netbook, but I don't know for certain I can access the SD card and call up a program. Assuming my Netbook will allow me to access the SD card, will the Netbook version perform an automatic pre-sweep of my Netbook before installing from the SD card? Since I can't log onto the internet, may I assume the request for the access/key code will not appear until the very end of the installation?

Thank you.
