It took me a long time - nearly 6 months - to find the culprit behind this problem. I had connectivity issues. The connection to the internet and network would disconnect unexpectedly and within a few seconds reconnect - usually between 2-15 seconds. Dropped VoIP calls, dropped Skype calls, dropped transfers, etc - very aggrevating. It wasn't until I decided to do a complete factory reset... There was no connectivity problem until after the Norton 360 install. Once Norton 360 was removed, the connecitivity issue was resolved. I have not the faintest idea why or how Norton 360 would cause this problem - much less how to fix it other than removing Norton. Or how to get a hold of Norton Tech Support (?) to give them a chance to fix this. -- (Feeling frustrated and disappointed with Norton)

Hi,
You didn't mention your OS or if you are having any other problems with the system. The suggestion to remove any other security software is a valid one. If you do have to remove any be sure to run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool so that the copy on your system is clean and complete. Run live update after that to bring it up to the minute.

Win8, 64bit
The laptop came with bloatware form McAfee. I used the removal tool as suggested. Running Norton 360 again. So far so good. I'll know after a few days if that resolved it. Thank you both for your input.
