I have NIS 2013 on 2 identical laptops. One is Windows 7 Home and the other is Windows 8 Pro (both are 32 bit). In additon I have a home server with a network share that the two laptops have mapped drives to.
On both laptops, I have change the setting Network Drives Scan = OFF. My goal is to have real time protection whenever I access files on the network share, however when the laptop is doing a scan, I do NOT want it scanning my server's drive.
When the Windows 7 computer scans, it only scans the local C: drive. However when the Windows 8 scans, it scans the 'P:' drive as well.
This appears to be a bug (maybe the way Windows 8 reports mapped drives isn't what Norton is expecting). I can't seem to find a place to report this as a potential bug so I thought I'd start here to see if anyone else has seen this issue.
