Network External Hard Drive and Backup

Don't mean to hijack this post but I have the same issue.  I have the external drive mapped and NIS is able to create the initial folders on the drive but then I get the error message  "There is a backup problem.  Make sure the destination drive or device is connected and then try again".  Odd since the problem can create the folders but fails after that.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome,

I've asked that your message be the start of a new thread so we can keep the responses separated :smileywink:

What is the size and format of your destination drive for the backup?

Thanks

It's a 2 TB drive formatted in NTFS mounted via USB on an ASUS router.  Machine is a Dell, running Win7 Ultimate, 12 GB memory.  Again thanks!
