Norton recently asked me to allow network monitoring. This was not an option, I was forced to allow it. Now when I print something it takes forever, over a minute per page. After a page prints the print monitor says waiting for printer to finish even though it is finished. I am running MacOS Sierra. Is there anyway to disable network monitoring?

Norton tells me that my program installation is incomplete and my system is threatened because I have not installed network monitoring. Yet I find no infomation about network monitoring, what it monitors or what the threat to my system results from not having it installed.

Norton 360 Deluxe uses traditional signature-based malware detection to protect Macs and adds intrusion prevention to analyze network traffic for attacks as well as browser protection to block known phishing sites.
While macOS features its own firewall to stop applications from connecting to risky websites, Norton Security Deluxe adds its own two-way firewall, which stops certain kinds of data from getting in or out. Its services also protect your system from risky networks and known dangerous IP addresses.
