Network problem

I have Comcast's Security Suite, ver 3.8.  I had a fully functioning wireless network before I installed the Norton product.  I can use the network only by disabling the Norton firewall.  There must be a settings adjustment that will solve the problem, but after a half-hour in an on-line chat with "support," I made no progress.  Hopefully, someone may have an answer.  If not, this program goes into the duustbin.
