Network Restricted status changed to Shared on it's own

I'm running Vista with NIS 2009.

Under the Network Security Map, I have EVERYTHING set to "Restricted"... including  the "local area connection". My family has a few computers, along with a printer they share. I don't use them so I want internet access only.

Everything works fine, except every once and a while I'll check the Network Security Map and BLAM my "local area connection"  has changed to "shared" instead of "restricted".  One of the network devices previously listed (192.168.1.8), has also changed to "Shared". The remaining devices still retain their "restricted" status.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

My computer is passworded at the bios boot, and at Vista login, as well as in norton's changed settings.

Thanks for any info.
