The desktop is connected via a CAT5 cable to the router and the laptop is wireless through the same router. I am not sure what you mean by "PM", but let me know what I need to do to provide you with the desktop network configuration and I will do it. Thank you.
I have Norton Internet Security 2008 installed on my desktop and laptop computers. I have Windows Home Premium 64 Bit on both computers. On the desktop, I get the following message when I click on the Network Map button: “Cannot probe network. This may be caused by tunneling protocols (for example, VPN), or your computer is not online. Do you want to try again?” On my laptop, after clicking on the Network Map button, it displays the network information. The laptop sees itself and my desktop computer. I have a Linksys WRT110 router. Is there any solution for the problem with NIS on the desktop? Thank you.

PM stands for Private Message. Which means that you should look for the in the upper right hand corner of any community page.
Hi,
A few basic questions:
1) I'm assuming they are both connected to the same WRT110 router, correct?
2) Is the desktop connected via wired or wireless?
3) I will need an output of your desktop's network config. (I'll PM you for the info)
Thanks,
/Chester
