My system has been well protected by Norton products for many years, however I recently hooked an XBox One to my computer network as well, and upon attempting to use the XBox Live Browser it came with I recieved a message telling me it was blocking all access due to a virus problem. It told me to contact a phone number which is in India and after they remotely checked my computer system's network, they found it was being attacked by Run32DLL.exe and Zues, both of which evidently look to gain financial information. They told me to protect my network I must buy a years subscription to "MSNETSecure" at $300 us a year! I can't afford it but I can do without the XBox One's browser as the one on my computer and Kindle are both still working fine and have not been blocked to traffic. What I need to know is if Norton's latest toolset with firewall is indeed protecting my computer from attacks such as these? And what else I can do if anything, to rid myself of the entire problem at a price I can afford? Thanx in advance for any help!
