First, I've always had this problem. I'm doing a full backup of about 635 GB from my C: drive. This is taking more than 48 hours to complete. In monitoring my system I've noticed that I'm only using a small percentage of my network bandwith, about 3.5 Mb/s. None of my system resources that I can monitor are being taxed, CPU, Disk W/R, memory, or network. And Network Throttling is not turned on. However, it sure looks like it is. I have a modem/router and a Netgear Switch between my computer and my NAS. Both of which are rated for GigE speeds within my network. My NIC is also GigE rated and I have seen much higher transfer rates between my computer and my NAS.
Is it possible that NG is using Network Throttling even though the option is unchecked?
