Thanks Alf.
It may be Add-on Free but mine came from that link's download button with the prechecked Chrome installer ......
Hi Hugh do you use the msi download or do you use the exe download there is a difference between the 2 I do not know what it is but I suspect that it the ad on download that you experienced when I update the flash players I run the uninstaller first and then I download the exe file that may be the reason or because its Adobe they may be trying to sneak a adon download most people that do not watch the installers note if you use the exe download you do get a different install window... I went to the page you linked to
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
and clicked on the Download button there.
Looking again I did not go down into the matrix and select anything.
Hi Hugh That is most likely what happened if you click on the square on the right upper of the web page you will get the download with the ad on good catch thanks! I have always scroll down the page and downloaded the files from there... ALF60
Hello ALF60
Just wondering why you marked this thread solved. Since no problem was presented in your original post, only information, and message 2 only contains further info about the latest flash release, how does that solve anything? Just curious, and thanks for keeping us informed about the latest updates.
Hi Tubo the only reason that I did that is if you replay to a post in the upper right of the web page you see this Please click Accept as Solution in the post that best answers your question.

Hello ALF60
Now I'm more confused, I read your first post again, and I don't see a question. How can message 2, which was marked by you as the solution, be the answer to a question that was never asked?

HI turbo I do not know if English is your first language as I am in the US so if you do not have English as your first language that could where its happing . The main reason I marked it solved is Norton wants the community to mark postings as a solution and the other reason is that the new adobe flash player has some upgrades and security fixes also a note about the new windows 8 and windows 8.1 preview. ... Hello ALF60
Well, you have certainly shown your true colors with that post. I do not believe that anyone reading our posts in this forum would conclude that I am the one that has a problem with english. You have proven your lack of comprehension by marking this thread solved when you should not have. Just FYI, Symantec wants threads marked solved when they have been solved, they do not want threads marked solved when they have not been solved, especially threads like this where no solution is possible.
