got my emergency Flash KB3199986 yesterday. I also got:
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3197954) which was an update on the Update installed on the 17th October - KB3194798 - and
Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3199986). This was an update on the Update installed on the 18th October - KB3199209 - which itself was an update on the Update issued the day before - KB3194798. I'm not going to read those KBs to see what all these were about - I'm just relieved that Microsoft got out the emergency Flash update quite quickly!
PS The Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3197954) yesterday twice failed to install - it stuck on 70% installed both times. Still, it got there in the end. ;o)
... And for anyone interested, the Chrome version of Flash Player just updated on my machine too.
Brain fart .... the original complaint was about the Reader ....
But I'm sure someone will be unhappy with the Player .....
I got KB3201860 today.
Thanks ALF60. As you say, Win10 has an embedded version and I've asked in the Microsoft Community when their update will appear. I'm not holding my breath - they seem unable to push out emergency updates.
Fortunately there are 3rd party alternatives ....
Huh. Please explain. What are the third party choices to Adobe Flash Player, Hugh?
Just seen a post on CompuServe saying they got it and it's a horrible new version ... how to get back to an earlier version ....
