I have Norton 360 on my old computer and it automatically renews the subscription for me. My last renewal was about 40 days ago. I plan on getting a new computer today. Is there anyway to convert my subscription on my old computer to my new one?
thanks
Once you have renewed your Norton subscription, go to norton account page and see if it has stored the new subcription key online.
No , all i have is my account number on the subscription thing when i brinng it up off of nortons and the only key code i have is with the Norton 2004 , which i bought when i got the computer.

Open your Norton Product > On the U.I. there should be i Norton Account > Click it and Fill Out the Details. www.mynortonaccount.com ; http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/custserv.nsf/docid/20020610105504925?Open&src=symsug. Please write down your Norton Product Key.
What Version of your Norton Product is it: Norton U.I. > Help & Support > About.
And do you have the Disc for your Norton Product?

If you are discontinuing the use of that other PC and/or removing N360 from it then the simplest solution is to contact Customer Support with the Account number:
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; phone may have a long wait time.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
But first you may find your KEY in a text file located in My Documents in a Symantec folder created there ....
However you will need to get Customer Support to cancel your other installation if you have a 1 PC version or don't want to use the second if it is a 3 PC version (which you don't have to do if you are discontinuing using the first.
Hope that is clear and help.
PS That Key.txt file is worth knowing about since it gives you useful information:
[ Norton 360 <-- I add this for identification when I have several different versions over time and I change the filename from the simple Key.txt to <ProductName> Key.txt ]
Product Details
Product Serial Number xxxxxxxxxxx
Product Key yyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Registration Date Jul 15, 2008
Expiration Date Jul 16, 2009
Product Language English
Protection for up to 3 PCs
Hey Floating_Red, I think it is a little funny that something as precious as a key is stored in a .txt file. No I'm not bashing it, I don't have any better a suggestion and I would think it could come in handy for a number of reasons such as it is. I belive I have seen it in one other location on the hard drive.
It just teaches me to make sure not to leave anyone alone with our system :)
Take care,
