I got an update to MS Edge Beta 79.0.309.11 with this notice from MS.
Jan 14 2020 is Update Tuesday and the new Edge will be released Jan 15 2020. Probable a CU to get Windows ready for the new Edge. It looks like you will have to download the new version so it replaces the current Edge.
