I did report it tech simply kept scanning my wifi even when it was already showing as trusted. Completely ignored the issue is on multiple devices scanned my wifi 7 times and ignored me so I had to disconnect the session..
Following up on this thread with the same issue now appearing on my mobile device as you’re having here. Clearing app data & caches does nothing to prevent the issue. Removal of the app, restart device, clear device cache and another restart, the reinstalling the mobile app. No change.
The scenario: I NEVER connect to public WiFi nor any other family networks when visiting. The past two days, the other “In-Laws” enlisted by assistance to remove Verizon services from their home, and setup NEW, T-Mobile 5G services. In doing so, I had to verify their new T-Mobile WiFi would connect and working via my mobile device. Also validated a secondary WiFi network on a NAT-NAT setup with its own SSID which is used for remote cameras around the property and in the home. I disconnected from and removed those two networks from my phone WiFi list before leaving.
Last evening when completing the work, immediately, upon returning home and my mobile device connected to my network, I began seeing the below issue appears and repeats itself OFTEN and at random intervals: The issue appears to be related to the Norton 360 app and VPN being hounded to enable the VPN. Please note the number embedded into the WiFi icon. That changes each time this issue occurs, until, a device restart then begins that count once again from zero.
The only solution I have found ( minus a hotfix from Norton ) is totally disabling WiFi network scanning. For whatever reason the app insists it sees a new network every hour or so when its not leaving my current home network. No Bluetooth connected devices, no nearby devices sharing, none of those settings enabled.
