I was thinking that I should be using a clone drive program such as Acronis True Image so that if something goes wrong (infection, corruption, etc) I could simply load the image and be back in business.
Looking back I realize now that it is a necessity and something that should have been done very shortly after installation (although at the time I didn't know of reputable and dependable vendors) and would have avoided the concerns I have now which is basically will there be any conflicts now that program such as Norton Security being installed? Especially if weeks, months or even years go by without updating the image?
I assume that people back up their image on a continual basis but I'm not sure how people can do that frequently and not run a higher risk of backing up unwanted code such as a virus.
Please excuse my ignorance in the matter but I am trying to make sure we have a plan in case something goes wrong as we run an older OS with two not very large hard drives.
