The Norton Password Manager extension in Microsoft Edge updated to version 8.3.0.1355 and now whenever I use the extension button the logins won’t be seen in the correct tags I have created. For example, I have at least a dozen tags created to organize my logins. When I open the extension button in the toolbar, I can select which tag to get to the particular login I need. With the new 8.3 update, the first tag I have is called “Appliances”, that displays all of my appliance related logins correctly, however when I go to the tag called “Google” that tag is populated with my logins for Appliances and no Google related logins show up. If I go to my “Financial” tag, once again that tag is populated with stuff from Appliances and no financial related logins show. This appears to happen to all of my tags. Whatever the first tag is, in alphabetical order, that list from the first tag will populate in other tags I select. TO BE CLEAR, all of my logins are in their correct tags, but the web app, which is also newer with the 8.3 update, also doesn’t display them correctly either. It seems to be the handling of displaying the logins in the tags. If I revert to the version 8.2 extension, this version works correctly, both from the toolbar button and the web app. So far Firefox 150 still has the version 8.2.5.1175 so that still works as it should.

The issue you are describing with Norton Password Manager version 8.3.0.1355—where selecting any tag simply repeats the entries from the first tag in your list—is a bug that has been reported following this specific update. It appears to be a display handling error within the new Manifest V3 version of the extension rather than a corruption of your data.
Since you have already confirmed that the data itself is safe and the issue is version-specific, you can try the following steps to mitigate the problem while waiting for a formal patch from Norton:
Immediate Workarounds
Search Instead of Tagging: While tags are malfunctioning, the Search bar within the extension button usually remains functional. Typing the name of the service or the tag name into the search field should filter your logins correctly.
Toggle and Reset: Some users have found temporary relief by toggling the extension OFF and back ON in Edge’s extension settings, or by signing out of the vault entirely and signing back in to refresh the background process.
Browser Profile Refresh: In some cases, creating a new browser profile or clearing the browser cache can resolve display glitches associated with extension updates.
Reporting the Bug
To ensure Norton prioritizes a fix for this tag-filtering logic, you should report it directly through the built-in feedback tool:
Open the Norton Password Manager app/extension.
Go to Menu > Help > Report an Issue.
Specify that you are on version 8.3.0.1355 and describe the “first tag repeat” behavior.
=============================================
The issue you’re experiencing with Norton Password Manager (NPM) version 8.3.0.1355 in Microsoft Edge is a bug where the tag filtering logic defaults to the first alphabetical tag regardless of your selection. This behavior, likely tied to the extension’s migration to the Manifest V3 platform, has been noted as a display handling error rather than data corruption.
Since you’ve confirmed your logins are still correctly tagged in the background, you can use these temporary measures while waiting for a formal fix from Norton:
Immediate Workarounds
Search Bar Filtering: The search function within the extension usually bypasses tag-specific display bugs. Typing the tag name or a specific login name into the search bar is the most reliable way to find entries right now.
Extension Refresh: Occasionally, these display “freezes” can be cleared by toggling the extension OFF and then ON again in edge://extensions.
Manual Web App Navigation: If the extension button is stuck, try accessing your vault through the Norton Password Manager Web App directly, though you mentioned it may also be showing signs of the newer 8.3 layout issues.
Troubleshooting Steps
Clear Browser Cache: Some users have reported that clearing Edge’s cache and cookies can resolve interface glitches after a major extension update.
Disable Conflicting Extensions: Temporarily disable other security or ad-blocking extensions to ensure they aren’t interfering with how the new Manifest V3 version of NPM renders its UI.
Report the Bug
To help Norton’s developers prioritize a patch, report this “first tag repetition” bug through their official channels:
Open the Norton Password Manager extension and select Menu > Help > Report an Issue.
Provide your specific OS and browser version details (Windows 11 Pro 25H2, Edge 147) as you did here.

I just installed the new version of Norton Password Manager, version 8.3.0.1361. I went through all of the tags and everything seems to be in order now. If I find an issue with this again ill let you know. Thank you!
