Newly bought Norton 360 Premium

Hello, I have Norton 360 v.6 on my PC and I just bought Norton 360 Premium v.6 download.  I am yet to download it, but I have the product key.  My question is-

 

1. Should I directly use the new product key in my existing product renewal screen?  Will that renew the existing Norton 360 or will that change it to Norton 360 Premium? or

2. Should I uninstall the existing Norton 360, download the new Norton 360 Premium and install it?

 

Is there another better option?

Hi hopkins 201,

 

I would also recommend you export/backup your ID Safe Data as a precautionary task prior to removing the standard edition of N 360.  Once you get the Premiere edition installed and updated you can import/restore you ID Safe Data if it is not automaticall carried over.

Yank was referring specifically to the Identity Safe, if you use it, where IDs and Passwords are stored for automatic login. That has it's own Export function somewhere (I don't use the ID Safe) in the menu structure.

 

If you use the Identity Safe and export the data from it then when you uninstall and then install Premier you can Import that file and not have to enter everything manually.

 

If you do not use Identity Safe then it doesn't matter!
