Hi everyone,
in the last hour, after the “slow ping problem - still 250 ms of ping” and the “no sites logged on NF report” now Chrome (lastest stable version) tell me that “NF plugin doesn’t respond” and when I click “OK” Chrome crash.
I can’t use NF to monitor and protect my children online since 6th November.
I don’t understand how a well planned release from a software house like Symantec can create so many problem.
I hope that Symantec will solve the situation quickly.
Hello I am having the same issue, ever since I updated to the new version of Norton Online Family I am have serious issues with internet Explorer...It keeps crashing. Even for users that don`t have norton online activated.
I finally had it with Norton Online Family and Norton's slow response to fix, I was able to finally uninstall the program by doing the following and regained full internet connectivity on my Sony Laptop Windows 7 Home Premium running IE9, but it should work with Chrome as well, its the Norton Software that is the problem :
1) Shut off internet to your affected machine.
2) Restart computer, before windows logo comes up press hold F8, windows will ask to boot into Safe Mode. I went into Safe Mode without networking.
3) Safe mode windows comes up, goto control panel.
4) Select Programs and Featuires. A lis of programs will come up, select Norton Family.
5) Window Box comes up confirming Uninstall, click yes.....voila...it removes the program.
6) Windows box comes up and says you must reboot. Reboot as normal. Turn internet back on.
Full internet connectivity is back. Good riddance Norton Online Family you just lost a customer
