NF.exe taking too much CPU

Some time this fall, I noticed that NF.exe seemed to be keeping my PC from going idle.

We did experience the problems outlined in http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Family/Internet-problems-with-Norton-Family/m-p/1026173

It appears that NF is somehow interacting with N360, Chrome and/or my Memeo Continuous backup program; all seem to be keeping each other just busy enough that the fan runs louder than before when the PC is "idle", and the PC never goes to sleep.

Here is a recent snapshot of Process information from Windows Task Manager.  Please note that none of the monitored accounts have logged in since my most recent reboot yesterday.

Not letting the PC go to sleep is a big problem given the cabinet where the PC lives between uses!

Norton Family Version: 2.9.5.20

Norton Online Framework Version: 5.0.0.51

Win 7 x64

Chrome 31.0.1650.63 m

Firefox 26.0

IE: 11.0.2/11.0.9600.16476

Many thanks for any advice.  We've been relying on NF (and its predecessors) for almost 4 years!
