NF site is still down,
and NF, when I try to disable it, tell me that the pc account is associated to another NF account.
I use Norton product since 1998, in my workplace we have Symantec products since 2001 and never happen a problem like these: from 6th November NF is unstable and broken. 15 Days! I can’t believe…
I have exactly the same problems.
Since the "maintenance" breakdown I have been experiencing major problems with NOF.
Even after upgrading the software, it seemed to work for 24h and now it is down again.
Today, the software didn't prevent my kids anymore from using the computer past the allowed time and now I get the "Sorry blah blah blah" message.
I tried opening from old account (in France) and it seems to work. But I don't understand why I can't get a clear message. Is it problem on the Norton server in the US ? if so what does Norton do to solve it. What is the policy during breakdown. Last experience in the beginning of November was just a nightmare : Bolcked PC, impossible to disable the software, nightmare to uninstall NOF...
This is just incredible from Norton...
Can somebody from Norton please give us a date when all of these issues will be resolved? There are probably children all over the world who can't do homework and school projects now, and all we ever see is Site Under Maintenance.
I am rapidly losing faith in the ability of Symantec to produce reliable software!
PS For those having trouble upgrading with the free version, I managed to get things working last week by registering a new free account and installing the software with the new account details. Until I did that, I would just get "Service Returned An Error" when attempting to do the installation after the upgrade. This is so clumsy from a company like Symantec.
Now NF is blocking websites on a supposedly non-monitored administrator account in Windows 7. What's next?!?!?!?
I have had it with this software. I am uninstalling it once I can get logged into the account to do so and its going to be time for a new antivirus program as well. This is happening way to frequently!!!
You can uninstall it even without signing on the Online Family. All you have to do is bring the computer up in safe mode and then uninstall as usual. Because it is in safe mode, it will uinstall without asking for a sign on.
UPDATE: Today, in 10 minutes, NF crashed 2 times. I cannot believe that is a Symantec software.
Update2: now, after the third crash, NF was not restarted. I have rebooted the system and is still crashing again.
Roll back to previosus version?
