NG-14 does not have the "Move" Bottom in "Move Recovery point" dualog box disabled

Hi All,

I have NG 14.0.0.24815 running on my Vista Home Premium, SP2. I want to move all my recovery points existing on my WD 2TB hard-drive to a new one - WD 3TB hard-drive. However, when I come to the "Manage Backup Destination" dialog box, the button "Move" is disabled (or "grayed out"), in-spite the fact that all recovery points are shown in dialog box. So, I cannot move the recovery point.

Any idea on what I may be doing wrong is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi rabor,

A silly question is your destination drive on, can Ghost 14 "see" it?

Sorry about the first reply - IE 9 again.

Don't forget to go to the menu bar at the top of the UI and click on Tasks and then Options and set your destination drive as default.

Yes, it's on.

If your destination drive is on and Ghost can "see" it then "Move" should be active. see pic

If Ghost still can't "see" the destination drive then I would uninstall Ghost and reinstall it, you could use the NRT (Norton Removal Tool) to make sure that all ghost remnants are removed but beware that the RT will rip out all Norton products on that drive.

I'm interested if Ghost 14 can really "see" the drive.   If you pretend like your doing a one time image of the C drive does it actually show the 3TB drive as a valid destination?

If so, then I assume it is the caviar green internal drive?

We recently had a person using an external 3TB WD drive and Ghost 14 could not see it but Ghost 15 could.

Drives that big use a different partition table (GUID) and there was some question on if Ghost 14 supported it or not.

That also may be whats causing your problem.

Thanks Dave,

I wasn't aware of that limitation with Ghost 14, my pic as you can see shows Ghost 15, (I do use it sometimes you know).

I didn't realise that size mattered:smileywink:
