I used Team Viewer 8 today to help a pal get his Win 7 x64 Lenovo laptop sorted out. He frequents porn sites & has picked up God knows how many serious malwares, Trojans, etc. Worst infestation I've seen in 20 years. In the 20 minutes or so that I was navigating his PC, NIS 13 popped up at least 30 high level warnings of attacks that it caught & apparently quarantined, but I don't know how many were still getting through. I attempted to download NPE, MBAM & SAS to try & get his system cleaned, but got nothing but redirects to malicious websites. Luclily he does NO banking on his PC...I finally decided that I would simply burn a read-only CD containg these progs & mail it to him. My thought is that he should run NPE first, followed by MBAM & then SAS. Does anyone concur? Also, should he run any, or all of the aforementioned progs from safe mode or from a normal boot? If anyone has any suggestions for a decent keylogger eradication prog, I'd be open to suggestions, as I'm guessing he may need to check for keyloggers as well. Thanks to all for any suggestions...
