NIS 2007 was working perfectly for a year (until a few weeks ago) on my pc. Problem started afer one of the NIS Updates a few weeks ago and I feel it is connected to an update to the "Phising engine or Phising defintions".
Problem after browsing the internet, when I am ready to close IE7 by clicking the "X" close button, I click the close button but it either takes a long time for IE7 to close (about 10 seconds) or I must click the IE7 close button a second time to close it. Once, this occurs, when I next decide to shutdown Windows XP or re-start, I get the message "ccApp" is not responding", requiring me to click the end the program now button.
Now, I have found that if I go into NIS 2007 settings and Turn OFF the "Phising protection", IE7 now closes instantly when I click the "X" close button of IE7 and I no longer get the ccAPP not responding error upon shutdown or restart !!!
...... I do not wish to disable Phising protection, so Symantec do you have a fix for this or can you work on this a problem issue for me ?
(P.S. I do not have the time or extra money at this point to upgrade to NIS 2009). I just want my NIS 2007 to be stable again.
Thanks.
