Hello friends at Norton Community,
I have a question about NIS 2007... I have 2 laptops that i have NIS 2007 installed on... one laptop is about 2 years old, so NIS 2007 was the current version at the time... I liked it so much, i installed another copy on my other laptop... now both laptops have NIS 2007, NSW 2007, and Norton Save & Restore 2.0 (NSR 2.0) I tried twice to install a NIS 2009, upgrade only to be prompted to use that "STUPID" Norton removel tool, that wipes clean away every norton product you have installed.. and after having to reinstall all 3 products again,
(in a very certain order or they would not install properly) i gave up and use NIS 2007 which matches "Perfectly"
with NortonSystem works 2007, and the Norton protection center... when i click the norton protection center at the bottom of my task bar, all are together in a single user interface... it is mint!..
but here is my question; Is it o-k to continue to use NIS 2007?.. I know it is not the current 2009 version of NIS?.. all of my anti-virus definitions are up to date... and i always check liveupdate to see if anything else needs updating... i do full system scans every week or so, and auto protect is always on... I really didn't like the user interface of NIS 2009... maybe i'll wait and see what NIS 2010 looks like..
I know NIS 2009 has faster scanning, uses less power, ect, ~but i'm still protected by the same anti-viruses~ Right?.. and i still have a 2 way firewall right? does anyone else still use (on purpose) older versions of Norton Internet Security?.. Thank you for your answers...
