NIS 2008 Cant Configure the product

Hey i have recently bought a AMD phenum quad core computer, i bought NIS 2008 with the Builders Edition. When i installed the product, I could not configure the product and when i clicked onto the configure button nothing happened. I clicked on the support option and then the problem was on the list so i ran the "tool" to hopefully fix the problem. Nothing happened the tool stopped responding. Also i cant install updates from windows. What is going on with my PC and what is your solution to this problem.

  Hope you performed the steps rather than trying to run the tool.

 

  If you have already performed the steps,try to run LiveUpdate using luall .

  Click on Run,type services.msc in the run dialogue box, hit enter.This will open the services window.

  Make sure that all the Symantec services are started. If not start them.

  Open Norton product,click on configure.

 

 If it still not working, run the Norton removal tool from the Symantec website,reinstall the Norton product.

 

 I know you are still not impressed.let's see this time!!!!!!

 

Hey i tried it, and i got a window saying this

 

MMC cannot open <URL address>

This may be because the file does not exist,is not an MMC console or was created by a later verison of MMC. This may also because you do not have sufficient rights to the file.

 

What does this mean ?

Try running the following

 

regsvr32.exe msxml3.dll

 

Once that is done, try configuring the product or running services.msc
