Hi kulaworld,

Was the message extremely large in file size or have a large attachment?  Did you get a message about "timed-out"?

I don't know what email client you are using, but check to see if the email is still located in your outbox or your sent folder.

If still in the outbox, open it and try to resend it.

Hi Phil_D,

I am using Outlook Express 6.

Well, the message window has disappeared now.

Just like that, after beeing there for about an hour! How, why, no idea.

But, I sent an email to myself and no message window was popping up at all!

I checked the Norton settings - email scanning - everything with a green tick of health.

Don't know if the program is scanning now.

Regarding earlier: I was actually able to send that email, which had no attachment and was rather small.

Just a few sentences that would fill half an A4 sheet. No time-out message.

Also, when the message window was "pinned" I did sent a couple of emails to myself to see

if it would work at all and if it would also get rid of the message.

Well, even though the message stayed, the emails got through alright!

But the progress bar did not move and I had the feeling that there was no scanning action taking place.

I have to see now if things will be back to normal after I switch the computer off for the day

and start again later.

I will keep in touch......

Thanks and Cheers

Hi

You could try a upgrade to v2009 and see if the problem still occurs. It is free Upgrade to v2009
