NIS 2009 activity when computer is in a logoff state.

Hi -

 

How do I know that when I am logged out of my system, whether it is XP or Vista, that NIS 2009 is *truly* protecting me.

 

I would like to understand the mechanics of this when actually logged off.

 

Any ideas?
