NIS 2009 - connecting to public networks

I've just installed NIS 2009 on my wife's laptop.  She will be traveling and connecting to public networks, so I want to ensure that she has the highest levels of protection.

When the computer connects to a new network, it does not ask if the network can be trusted, or if it is public or private.

Can I assume that it automatically configures itself with the highest levels of protection on a new network?

Is there anything I should do for more protection on potentially unsafe networks?

Thanks

This is exactly what it does. NIS will reconfigure itself. So there is no need to worry you are reall safe with NIS2009

OK good.

Thanks for the information.
