In NIS 2009, does anybody know of a way to export Identity Safe data (usernames and passwords, not necessarily credit card info) into a comma delimited file, or into any other format that can be read by non-norton applications?
Thanks!

Never mind, I found it. I'll post it below in case anybody else is looking now or in the future. It looks like it can only be done once your updates subscription has run out, which is idiotic and frustrating enough that when my subscription DOES run out, I'll probably switch to another internet security application.
To export Identity Safe data
In the Run dialog box, type the path to the folder in which Norton Internet Security is located and the executable's file name.
The following example shows the syntax:
"C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Engine\\coExport.exe"
where version represents the version number of Norton Internet Security.
In the Export Identity Safe Data dialog box, type your Identity Safe password.
Browse to the folder into which you want your data to be saved, and then click OK.
Hi Posan:
I tried the method you listed and I get a popup stating I can only use it once (if) my subscription has expired.
Hopefully someone will know of another way? I find that when I log into Identity safe and select the option to view an individual password (so the password can be read) that I'm not able to copy it (can't use cont/c or highlight and copy). For me the issue happened last week where I had to manually type out a 56 character long password that used all kinds of weird symbols. Is there a better way to either copy, or to export?
Matthew
Go to the option panel, there find Identity Safe settings, click on Configure, and you have to find there the same Settings like it was in NIS08 before.
Thanks PapauZ, but I don’t see how that would help with exporting the data in a format that can be read by non-Norton software like word processing or spreadsheet apps.
Oh... Sorry, I misunderstood something :P.....
Maybe in google there can be something to convert the NIS fileformat to xls, or anything..... But I don't think so.... IS settings and login informations are highly protected data, and they are encrypted, so first of all you have to decrypt it than convert to any file format.
Maybe in a next release they could make a save as option to it. I will make a suggestion to that. ;)
Again, thanks. I suspect that the omission of that feature is intentional, in order to make it harder for Norton users to switch to a different password manager.
