As apparently the same with many other people I have contracted a rootkit problem that Norton has been unable to remove and is unable to detect in a full scan in either normal or safemode. I get a notification saying that it could not be removed. I am also being blocked from searching for the removal of these viruses on sites such as google and am instead redirected to random junk sites. Mine is the hjgruitopoxlgx.dll. Normally I would not waste your time with this issue and attempt to solve the problem based on your previous responses to people, but part of the solution appears to be rather specific to each case (the combofix script part). I have downloaded gmer and SysProt as suggested in previous threads and have attatched the log files of both programs (if I did them correctly). I have also downloaded (but not done anything with) ComboFix. Hopefully you will be able to advise me further from this point. I appologize emphatically for being a bother to you and to take up your time, but I haven’t been able to solve this myself. Thank you very much.
