I'm working with a client who has NIS 2009 installed on a Windows XP SP3 Dell desktop. When the customer performs a web search using Google or Excite, an "Automation server can't create object" message is displayed ("OK" is only available response) and the Norton SafeWeb indicator (green circle with checkmark, gray circle with question mark, red circle with "X") is not displayed. If the Symantec NCO BHO (coIEPlg.dll) is disable in IE7, the error does not occur. The problem does not occur in Mozilla FireFox. I've tried resetting all IE settings to defaults and disabling all other BHOs in IE7 but that problem remains. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!
