I currently have Vista Ultimate installed on my primary C partition. I have NIS 2009 and NSW Premier 2009.
There are a handful of programs (mainly a few games I really like) that don't work well with Vista. So I would like to installed Windows XP Pro to the D drive. This Windows XP Pro would have the bare minimum programs installed but one of those of course has to be NIS 2009 which has the AntiVirus software.
Before I do this, will NIS 2009 cause problems by having a Windows XP and Windows Vista incarnation of the program? Again I would be installing into two different folders, but one of my concerns are things like the shared directories which are typically set up on the C drive.
Is NIS 2009 smart enough to put these shared components into a directory unique to Windows XP, or is there a risk that it will attempt to put them in the same directory used by Vista? Are there any other issues which might occur by trying to install a second incarnation of NIS 2009?
Thanks
Allen
