Anyone know for certain? I just noticed tonight that ALL of my scheduled tasks were missing. Examining log files I can determine they last ran on 11/17. I installed NIS 2009 on 11/18. I know in the past that NIS always placed a scheduled task there to run virus scans. Now that 09 does that internally on it’s own schedule, they would naturally delete the old tasks. But I can’t imagine that they would delete *.job.
I’ll know for certain when I upgrade another computer over the holidays. This time I’ll place several tasks in c:\windows\tasks then install NIS 2009.
So caution if you use this feature of Windows and plan to install NIS 2009, backup that folder just in case.
There’s no such thing as too many backups!
