Hi,
I know you've already un-installed and re-installed Norton Internet Security 2009, but, could you Run the Norton Removal Tool, Re-Start, and then Run the Norton Removal Tool again, Re-Start and then try to re-install your Norton 2009 Product again, then see if you still have the same Issue. Be sure to have your Product Key either written down or saved some where handy. Please let us know how you get on; thanks!
Did you check in your unresolved, resolved and quarantine to see if it was actually found and requires that something be done about it?
Is there any kind of program on your machine to do with proxy or DNS that may be triggering this?
Towos2000 -
What happens when you run a One Click Support session? (Help&Support > One Click Support) I ask because there is a different DNS check included with the session.
Dear all
I've given up on NIS2009. Life's too short to spend any more time on this.
Thanks to everybody for your help and ideas. I have been really impressed with the quality of responses on this forum - good advice freely given. It's just a pity that the quality of support from Symantec is not up to the same standard.
Thanks again
