Windows XP Service Pack 3. NIS 2009 16.1.0.33 with all updates installed.
I have upgraded from a working NIS 2008 to NIS 2009. About half way through the LiveUpdate process during the NIS 2009 install, before the update to 16.1.0.33 was installed, I started getting the following error message when I tried to access other Norton products such as Save & Restore:
(the file name I'm trying to execute such as VProConsole_.exe)
The specified path does not exist. Check the path, and then try again.
This did not go away when I got NIS 2009 to the latest patch release. It happens when I try to execute the latest version of NIS 2009 (16.1.0.33) from the Start menu. It even happens if I try to run the SymRegFix.exe program.
I can rev back to NIS 2008 and the problem goes away but I'd really like to get away from 2008 because of performance issues I seem to have with it.
I wasted hours yesterday working with tech support when I first thought it was an issue with Save & Restore so I'm hoping someone else can point me to a solution that does not involve more wasted time with tech support.
