Hello --
We installed NIS 2009 on our computer two days ago and completed a normal full system scan. Today after leaving the computer on for a few hours, we noticed that the software was NOT running in the background, even though we did not turn it off, and Internet Explorer was acting funny. Since we suspected a virus, we did another full system scan.
The scan stopped abruptly (I did not see what file we were at) and NIS shut down completely, including the scan information and monitoring icon in the system tray.
I could not re-open NIS at all unless I re-started the computer.
I believe there is a virus that is keeping NIS from completing due to the funny behavior of Internet Explorer.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated....
