Since receiving the 16.1 release of NIS2009 I get pulse updates every few minutes. However this does not change the fact that every 14 days I get a brown Fix Now button on my Windows Vista SP1 desktop.
Yesterday when I switched off my PC my definition update was 2 minutes ago. When I started the PC 10 hours later there was the brown Fix Now button. Pulse definition updates were still being updated every few minutes. It was however 14 days and 28 days since I last fixed the problem by downloading the 30MB definitions file off the Norton Website. When I ran this (as happed the last two times) the button changed immediately to green Secure.
I have been unable to find the file Log.IntelligentUpdater.txt which it said had been saved in y temp folder. I now know that in 14 days time I will have to repeat the performance yet again. Does anyone know what might be going on?
