NIS 2009 ver 16.1.0.33 does not fix Live Update Definitions after 5 days

I received the 16.1 patch update 5 days ago.  Since then it has updated definitions every 3 minutes. However after switching off my PC yesterday when I switched it on today I have the brown Fix Me button back again.  Time since last update was 14 hours.  I did a manual update and received the latest definition files.  This changed my date from 14 hours to 1 minute.  However the Brown 'Fix Now' button remains.

The only difference between pre 16.1 and post 16.1 is that pulse definitions continue successfully (or at least update the clock sucessfully) but main updates do not.  The time is reset by the Pulse Updates.  However just as before after approx 5 days the Fix Me shows up.  As before 16.1 was installed the only way to get full definition updates is to download the 30MB definition file and run that.  This then does install and Secure Green is back.  Pulse definition updates happen every few minutes  - but perhaps that is just the time counter and this is a false confirm?

It would look to me like the 16.1 update gives a false message in its efforts to reset the definition counter for people.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with definitions following the 16.1 patch?  How long before 16.2 is available?  I have to say Norton is becoming rather a joke!  Everyone else where I work use MacFee and have no problems but they are enjoying a laugh at my and Norton's expense.
