I recently downloaded the NIS 2009 on my home computer. However, since then we haven't been able to access the Internet (wireless) through the other computers in our home network. It used to be secured by an in-built firewall in the router itself, with a code to access it. I've heard that disabling NIS 2009 should work - however, I have no idea how I should do this (since the Symantec support has no article about disabling NIS 2009?), and would like to have an alternative solution, if possible.
I tried adding the computers - that used to be in the network before NIS 2009 - via the Network Security Map. The problem still remains.
Is there a way I can add these computers to the network again - with or without disabling NIS 2009?
Both the home computer aswell as the computers in the network are all Windows XP (presumably SP1 or SP2, but I'm not sure).
I'd be very thankful if there would be a response ASAP. Sister's driving me through the roof.
