Hi, I am trying to fix up an old machine running XP Home SP3, with Outlook 2002 and NIS 2010. The antispam toolbar suddenly started adding a new one every time I selected a folder to view, and the toolbar has no buttons on it! I tried turning integration off and on, turning antispam off and on, etc. I looked in the COM Add-ons and tried deleting the Norton Antispam item. I checked in the About > Disabled add-ons: nothing there. Nothing fixed it. I finally disabled the antispam and added an Outlook rule to filter out messages not in the Contacts list. There has to be a better way to do this. I can't even tell the name of the add-in to be able to select it manually.
The user account is an administrator and the Outlook data files have been scrubbed/compacted/etc. and are not too big.
Is this an odd problem with registry key permissions (I've had this on other problems), or something else equally obscure and ugly? Any thoughts would be welcome.
